A Productive Couple of Days

Day 351:

Well Son, I made it home a solid 14 hours ahead of when I thought I would, or rather I was scheduled to, and that was all because I was able to pull together the technical win, the account details, and the commercial agreement.  The clients (I saw two different companies) both seemed genuinely please with the work we provided and are both considering moving forward with my software before the end of the year.  This is VERY important, Boy'O!

Still, not nearly as important as being home with you, Conor.  I couldn't wait to get in the door!  And when I was finally in the house I made my way upstairs to see you and Mommy both sleeping in the bed, out cold...  I changed clothes, got comfortable, and then picked you up ever so gently to rock you back to a deep sleep in your glider chair.  And it felt great, Son.

Now though, I'm in the basement only half watching a game that's on between two teams that I don't care about, thinking about the fun days ahead, Boy'O.  And I'm not talking about the next few weeks, I'm talking about the next few YEARS!  So much to do, so little time...

Sleep tight, Boy'O.  I can't WAIT to see you in the morning!

I love you, Conor.
-Dad
