Preparation Day

Day 337:

The last 2 months of any year are the busiest time of year for me, Conor.  It's when people I've been positioning and providing consultative instruction to in an effort to make a sale finally figure out they have the budget I've been asking about all year and decide to buy.  And they all do it at the same time...  Needless to say, my calendar is packed sun up to sun down each day this week and the week after next, so today would see me drop the hammer in terms of how much I needed to get done.

On top of that I needed to get the oil changed in the truck over lunch, run an errand or two on my way back to the office after the oil change, and make the dry cleaner on my way home from work.  And it wouldn't even end there!

After Mommy fed you I gave you a bath and then handed you back over to Mommy to manage while I got all my stuff together for our impending trip to South Carolina tomorrow evening.  As much as I'd like to believe this would be a quick and easy task, it just wasn't, Boy'O.  In fact, an hour later I'd finally gotten all my clothes either put away or packed in a bag.  And now here it is, 10:00pm, and I'm finally able to spend a minute relaxing...

Not much else to say, Son.  Just a busy, exhausting day...  Though it's about over now, and so I'm gonna turn in...

I love you, Boy'O.
-Dad
