Blessed By God
Day 89:
Today was such a very special day, Conor. Today you were baptized by the Catholic Church in front of almost 50 family members and dear friends. It was so amazing Conor. Your Godparents, Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Paul, stood with me, you, and Mommy in front of a congregation of people - all of them praying for you and the other little ones born in to the eyes of Christ.
I couldn't have special ordered a more perfect day, Son. 60 degrees and sunny, not a cloud in the sky. Wonderful people gathered in a beautiful place. A dinner to follow including those eager hands who would hold you at every turn. You're so loved, Conor. My hope for you in this life is that you experience this love now and always, and even more. There are a great many people who would answer the call for you, Son. And it makes me so proud. It makes me proud in what that says about me and Mommy, and it makes me proud in that they truly believe in the Lion Heart. They hold you in their hearts and would live for you unafraid. It's a powerful thing to witness first hand, and certainly - should you one day have little guys of your own - you'll get it. Truly.
This morning was as good as it gets also, Son! Your cousin Kinsley, Uncle Billy, and Aunt Ellie bring so much life and vibrance into this house, Boy'O! Ms. Kinsley is smitten with you and willing to do anything to help. She would fetch your bottle, fix your blanket, help with making sure you're comfortable, and even hold you close to calm you, Son. It's quite a thing to see your little Cousin hold love on you... It's a love none of us have ever known... A love between the children of siblings. Yet another experience for me to write about. As if I needed an excuse to write to you!
I love you, Son.
-Dad
