Friends are Forever
Day 109:
A busy morning gave way to a fast paced afternoon, Boy'O. I was up and at 'em first thing this morning with a number of weekend chores that needed tending followed by some mechanic work on MeMeow's car, getting your dogs to the groomers, running a few errands, picking your dogs up from the groomers, and then finally, some peace.
When the day's busy schedule came to slow it was finally time for a shower and then off to Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Paul's to see Nathan and your newest little buddy, Andrew Davis Landers. Mommy had a chance to meet Andrew in the hospital a few days ago but I'd not met the young lad yet and neither had you, so this would be even more of a treat than just hanging out with our close friends.
When we arrived at Uncle Paul and Aunt Jennifer's, so too were the rest of the Landers family. Ann and George, Scott and Renee, Lisa, Sarah, and Emma, and finally, Adam and Amanda. Of course MeMeow and Aunt Mag were also invited and so suddenly, Chez Landers was a full house!
When Aunt Jen finally came down-stairs after feeding your new buddy, I couldn't believe my eyes. He is the spitting image of Nathan! I've never seen two little guys look so similar!! Quite remarkable. Yes Conor, today was the first day you would meet your soon to be best pal. Born three months apart and with parents who spend as much time with one another as we all do, I've no doubt you three will be a an inseparable troop. And no matter where we are in the World, Nathan and Andrew will be your very first friends.
In this life Boy'O, many friends will come and go. Some painfully so. But the memories live with you forever, no matter what. And for you, Nathan, and Andrew, I know in my heart of hearts that you boys will have memories of one another that you'll keep forever.
I love you, my Lion Hearted Boy. And your new friends too...
-Dad
