A Day of Rest

Day 90:

Today was a day of fond farewells, Son. All those who'd travelled to see you over the weekend were shoving off- either early this morning or later in the afternoon. Your Pop Pop and MiMi came in to Fairfax to meet us for lunch... Me, you, Mommy, Memeow, Billy, Ellie, and of course your little Cousin, Kinsley joined them for some great Mexican food complete with Margaritas - perfect for such a sunny and warm March Day! Though the lunch was bitter sweet in that after a nice lunch on such a beautiful day, we bid farewell to Pop Pop and MiMi as they headed back West before their journey to Louisville and Arkansas.

Sadly tomorrow me and Mommy BOTH go back to work. This is something your Mother is struggling with, Son. She's not at all ready to leave you for the day. But fortunately her Mom- your Grandma Memeow- will be staying with you for the next month before we start the whole Nanny / Day Care thing... So for now, we're going to enjoy one more night with Uncle Billy and Aunt Ellie and your little Cousin Kinsley and then get up tomorrow and start back to work...

So it was a fun and exciting weekend for you, Son. So many people and so much fun! Though without question Conor the Lion Heart becoming Conor the Blessed Boy was as memorable as anything I've known. And it was just the 1st of many great celebrations will have both with you and for you...

That's all for today, Son. Taking it easy and enjoying the day is taking it out of me!
